Seacor Commodity Capacitors

A subsidiary of Electrocube

Seacor Commodity caps, Electrocube subsidiary
Seacor Commodity caps, Electrocube subsidiary

Through its acquisition in 2002, Electrocube maintains the Seacor brand of commodity film capacitors, including electrolytic capacitors and power factor correction banks. Electrocube provides competitive pricing for high-volume capacitor and suppressor applications. All Seacor capacitor components are thoroughly inspected and extensively tested at Electrocube’s manufacturing plant in Pomona, California prior to client shipment.

How They Work: Electrolytic Capacitors and Power Factor Correction Banks

Used for storing large amounts of energy, electrolytic capacitors use an ionic conducting liquid to increase capacitance.

In power factor correction banks, capacitors reduce the loss of power caused by activating components in the circuit. As a result, there is a reduction in the lost power from the original power generated and an ability to increase total power generated without additional equipment.
